Introduction: Paul Maida has been performing home and commercial inspections for buyers, sellers and owners since 1983. He is an MA state (#357) and NH state (#70) licensed inspector, licensed pest inspector (#4525), and ASHI member, and he holds additional licenses and certifications related to the home-inspection field. FHA/VA wood-destroying insect inspection is included at no additional cost. Optional services include radon testing, water testing and mold testing during real estate inspections. Easy-to-read reports that include digital-colored photos and a detailed narrative comment are e-mailed to our client, and consultation after the inspection is always free. Reports are confidential; we do not sell previous inspection reports. See Paul's credentials, view sample reports, get a no-obligation quote via e-mail or schedule an inspection on his website. Costs are based on the description of the property. He can usually accommodate an inspection in three to five days. He books 7 to 10 days in advance during busy season. If you're anticipating an accepted offer, don't wait. Contact us today. We'll setup an appointment that is convenient for you! Our 2011 average cost is posted in the "hourly rate".

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

As do most inspectors in the field Maida Services base our quotes on the description of the property: Address? Style of Home / Building? Year of Construction? Square Feet of Living Area / Usable space? Additional Structures (e.g. garages, sheds, barns)? You may also be asked: How many bedrooms/bathrooms the home contains? If there is finished living area in the basement? The number and location of Heating Systems and/or A/C Systems?

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Just as the "cheapest" inspection isn't always the most prudent choice, the "most expensive" home inspection doesn't necessarily mean the “best quality”. In the inspection field there is a wide range of difference in years of experience, education, credentials, quality of report and time spent with you - before, during and after an inspection. Some inspector will simply meet your expectations while others will exceed your expectations. Check and re-check your inspector’s qualifications. Accolades are not always credentials.
