Just What I Needed to Get Started! I've been trying to get into better shape for a while, and this pilates class was just what I needed. It wasn't so easy for me, but it sure was gratifying afterwards. Madeleine was an excellent teacher. She could tell which exercises I was having difficulties with, and made sure to adjust the lesson accordingly. I learned a lot about my own body, and am just so glad I decided to take the first step in getting stronger overall. She also taught me about the many benefits of pilates that I wouldn't even have thought of. Can't wait to work with Madeleine again. Total pro. Now I just need to rest!

Trained in the classical style of pilates, I teach both group and private sessions on various apparatuses (mat, reformer, and chair). I have training and experience teaching prenatal pilates, and I offer private sessions for those clients beyond the second trimester of their pregnancy. As a Certified Health Coach and Intuitive Eating Counselor, I work with clients to make incremental, realistic and lasting changes to their diets. Rather than dwelling on calories and fat grams, I focus on adding in simple, whole foods, learning to listen and respond to the bodies' wants and needs, and adding in elements of nourishing self care. And, as a Pilates Instructor, I focus on much of the same. I have been trained as a teacher of Pilates in both the Classical and Contemporary technique, and I use my understanding of both approaches to work with the wants and needs of the body in front of me.
