John was excellent to work with and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for some low voltage wiring work. He was professional, did a great job, and was great to work with. Highly recommend!!!!
David was exceptionally helpful to come out on a Sunday to get my kitchen in working order for me. He installed my new sink complete with faucet, garbage disposal and dishwahere. He even installed the Electrical power for my garbage disposal. All for less than half the price of what the Plumber quoted me. I can't thank him enough.
Very professional! Did a great job!! Kept his word on starting and finishing work which is key as we have had so many contractors in the past that haven't. Looking forward to working with him again.
Amazing!!! I sent an email on Sunday night during one of the 90° weeks with a down HVAC unit and pretty low expectations. Received a response the same night and had Jose out to check out the problem Tuesday p.m. He returned 9AM with three-man crew and had problem resolved before noon. It wasn't free but it was a very fair price combined with very professional prompt quality work. I just spent two years on an addition dealing with more contractors, subcontractors, and tradesmen than I care to remember but this guy is the real deal and does what he says he is going to do when he says he's going to do it and that's getting pretty rare these days. I'm not big on writing comments but this guy deserves the five stars and you deserve to have this guy doing competent work in your home. Al W.
Very professional and friendly. He is fun to work with. Unlike other contractors who sell you stuff, he worked with us so the project would not be as costly. Finished work on time and with high quality. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family. Sean - Thank you for all of your help and coffee and donuts!
Mike from wired NH is a true professional. He ran into issues on the job as a result of the previous contractor. He corrected the problem and did the installation in a timely manor. He cleaned up after the job was finished to where you would have never guessed a contractor had been in the home working. I am a person who expects the job to be done right, on time, and within budget which Michael did. I highly recommend Michael and have given Michael to use me as a reference.
I completely remodeled my kitchen and hire various contractors to do different work. I specifically hired Derek for the install of my cabinets that I purchased directly. Derek by far has been the best contractor that I have hired. He's organized, prepared and efficient at his job. He did an amazing job and clearly demonstrated his vast amount of experience and precision in installing cabinets. He was very attentive to detail, perfectly installing my farmhouse sink and other detail cutouts my kitchen required. He offer helpful suggestions along the way making my project completely stress free. I am super happy and will hire him again for any of my future projects. Thank you Derek!
I wanted to play music in several rooms and have it linked to my tv & computer. Nick was incredibly helpful in recommending the right system and components. He was on time and very neat every time he did any work. I've had many contractors working in my house over the past 10 yrs on a range of issues from major house renovation to small projects. This project was not large but Nick ranks among the top 2-3 contractors ever. Very professional, smart and completely trustworthy. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
John and Kirsten with Dr. Everything did quite a bit of work for me on a rental property I own in Worcester, MA. I hired them to make right a lot of the work a previous contractor totally screwed up. It can be difficult to find a contractor willing to take on that type of project, but these guys did, and did a great job. Thanks!
Hired A Star (Michael and his business partner Drew Cabana) to do a renovation job after my condo flooded out due to bad plumbing in the building. Here's what my project with A Star entailed: Kitchen sink, counter tops and dishwasher had to be replaced, floors had to be redone (complete new floating laminate floor in living/dining area plus custom cutting and fitting several individual ceramic tiles), some custom shelves in the bathroom cabinets had to be refabricated, the covering for the AC exchanger had to be custom fabricated and the entire 950 sq ft. unit needed to be repainted. Michael and Drew did an excellent job on this work on all counts -- both in their own work on floor installation, plumbing, painting carpentry and minor electrical items, and also as general contractors supervising other vendors The folks from A Star were willing to come back again and again as we had to do things piecemeal -- first while I waited for the insurance situation to be decided, then wait for the condo management folks to replace virtually all the dry wall in every room before painting and other work by Michael and Drew could start, waiting for the carpet company I had hired separately to re-carpet the 2 bedrooms so that Michael and Drew could then install the T-molding end cap where the laminate floor meets the carpet, and finally we had to wait through delays caused by Lowe's in the delivery and installation of the sink and granite tops, which my guys supervised (they did the plumbing hookup for the sink and dishwasher themselves). It took nearly three months -- through no fault of Michael or Drew. We all had to exert the right amounts of patience and pressure on the other parties. It was a good-sized job. Many other contractors probably would have bailed mid-way through and moved on to other jobs that were easier and more clear cut, but these guys hung in there. I had to return from the Florida condo to return home to Massachusetts before the work was completed, and Michael and Drew continued to work hard to get the project done even though I wasn't around in person. Michael sent me photos of the completed work as it went along. My only criticism is that the photos were often fuzzy and therefore it was hard to see if the work had been done as expected. Michael needs to either get a better camera or have someone else take the photos of their excellent work! All in all, these guys are great. Their price was fair, they did high quality work, are easy to work with and I'd hire them again.
Richard was the second contractor we worked with during our house remodeling project. The experience with the first one was absolutely awful. Working with Universal Home Renovations was a counterpoint to that. He is a professional and low key contractor. There's not a lot of drama working with Richard. Richard is very clear about what he will do, how much it'll cost t and how long it'll take him to do. There were no surprises with Richard and his team. He won't start on a change before approval, which is how it should be. I have recommended Universal Home Renovations to several friends and one is in the middle of a remodel with him. That project seems to be progressing as well as ours did.
Professional and organized service including instant emailed invoice and receipt. The project cost was at the low end of the quote, was done quickly and cleanly. Will use again for future work.
Jon completely rewired two large properties that I remodeled in Waltham and Topsfield Massachusetts. In one property he also buried electrical line coming to the house so they can’t be seen hanging above ground. Jon also wired low voltage lines including Ethernet, Coax and phone. Jon did an outstanding job. Remodeling work is especially difficult because he had to work around living spaces that were occupied. I also used Jon to fix various electrical issues with two other properties. I will continue to use Jon for my electrical projects and strongly recommend him to other prospective customers.
