FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge a flat fee for interior architecture + design services, as well as event design + production. However, sometimes an hourly fee is more appropriate, depending on the project scope and client preferences. I always work with my clients to establish the best possible fee structure that works within their budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to my work with Back East Design Company, I am also an Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture + Design at Endicott College. I have unlimited opportunities to continue my education as a professional and it's vital for me to stay current with the latest trends and research in the field. I attend several design conferences a year as well as other networking opportunities in New England and throughout the Country. I am also a Professional Member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) which helps me stay connected and informed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first went to College to follow my passion for art. I have a BFA from Montserrat College of Art where I focused my studies in the area of sculpture. After graduating, I wanted to get involved in a career that would allow me to combine my creativity and love of color, texture, and space with the ability to help people. I earned a BS and MS in interior design and merchandising from Colorado State University, where I learned the importance of environmental psychology in interior design.
