Extremely clean company. My yard looked better after they finished cleaning up their jobsite than it did before! I also was kept updated regularly through the entire remodel. VERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
VERY RUDE, OBNOXIOUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!
I offered Randy Estabrook work on both my roof and my neighbors as a package deal for a decent price. He first gave me a verbal price, then in the conversation about a half hour later, he mentioned a different price, which was double the amount! I thought to myself that I better make sure I get whatever he says in writing. He promised me a written quote but never got back to me. He went and did my neighbor's roof behind my back! He led my neighbor to believe he was doing my roof as well, so he can get his job! My neighbor would never have hired him if he wasn't deceived like this! This also caused me to lose the leverage of getting a decent price on my roof and my neighbors! My neighbor and I are not happy how we were deceived! I've been chasing Randy for a quote in writting for months! He's been promising me he'll get back to me with a written quote and has never kept his word! It was obvious to me that he wants to avoid putting what he says in writing!
Today on 6/6/18 I called him to find out if he's going to keep his word. He talked very unprofessional and down to me! I was rather stumped to discover his true personality and misdemeanor because when he came to my house, he came off as a nice guy. But that was only because he was hurting for business!
Basically he wasted an hour and a half of my time that day as I bought into him being someone he wasn't.
So today when I asked him about the quote I've been waiting for, he changed once again what he said. Now he was saying that he gave me a verbal price (WHICH HE COULDN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS!!) and that because he didn't hear from me, he didn't bother to call me. This is not how a professional company operates. He should have been following up on me! He should have delivered what he promised!
The way we left it, he was supposed to give my neighbor and I a quote in writing showing what he was going to do for us and how much the charges would be and we were going to decide between him and two other competitors for the job.
When I spoke to him about this on the phone today, he kept snapping at me telling me that he has four jobs he's working on now and doesn't have time for me or my quote. He told me that if he sat and made a quote for everyone, he wouldn't find time to work, which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard from anyone in business for themselves!
He said he would give me one if we did business, which was also telling me that if he's too lazy to make me a quote, then maybe his work would be a reflection of his bad attitude and laziness. He told me was busy and to call him back in 10 minutes. I couldn't believe the nerve of this guy telling me to keep pursuing him! I've been chasing him for months and he expects me to keep trying to get a hold of him, when it should be the other way around? I told him to call me when he has time. He said he would try to come next week but can't promise anything. Since he's telling me he's too busy to come, I asked if he could just send me his written quote and explained to him that I need it in order to protect myself. He thinks I would do a verbal agreement with him? There was no way I was going to trust this guy's word at this point.
I was being very cordial with him and didn't deserve for what came next, but I guess he figures he has enough business now and doesn't care to pretend to be nice to me or anyone when things are going well for him! I asked him when I could expect his quote and he went off on me and hung up the phone!
I'm curious how long it will be before my neighbor's roof starts leaking...!
