FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet in person if possible to discuss the project. If our rough quote is accepted, we collect 25% of the project cost to cover our materials, which is non-refundable. We then collect the remaining balance once the project is complete.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly. I am constantly reading books, attending seminars, training classes and watching videos on how to provide a better quality job in the most efficient manner possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Very interesting story actually. The truth is, I could not turn a screw driver about three to four years ago. I purchased some subgrade furniture from a well known furniture business and further, it fell apart within a year. Having been frustrated by this, I traveled to a more well known furniture store where I decided I was going to do my homework with regards to purchasing a quality piece of furniture. I found that this store also had furniture constructed with subgrade materials and was not jointed properly for strength, however, charged a premium price. So, I watched a 20 minute YouTube video on how to build an entertainment center, traveled to my local Home Depot and bought a few tools and built my own. During the process, I found I loved the work and discovered it was relaxing and a great stress release. This passion took off to me building all of the furniture in my personal residence, for my family and friends and then by word of mouth, people started placing orders. I then studied areas such as tiling, hardwood floor installation/refinishing, and other carpentry, finished carpentry, home remodeling and interior decoration skills. I practiced on my own residence during a full renovation that I did by myself, which came out beautifully. I then offered my services to friends and family and once again, 100 jobs later, I was off to the races.
