What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no standard charge, as no two design projects are the same. We work 3 different ways: 1) Retail pricing on products, 2) A flat fee, or 3) An hourly fee with a discount off of retail for products purchased through our vendors, or a combination of all of the above. We want the customer to be comfortable with the pricing agreement we decide upon together.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is so important that I understand the customer's needs and that we establish the "essence" of the customer's design style. I help my clients discover their inner design style so that together we can create an interior that not only looks great, but functions well for their lifestyle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A, in Art History, with an emphasis on Architectural History. In addition, I have taken many courses related to interior design and home construction. As a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, I am required to complete ongoing educational requirements.
