- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A structural engineer is not the same as an architect! Structural engineers design and analyze the structural elements of a building (beams, columns, foundations) or other structure (bridge, retaining wall). Although an architect may have a general understanding of structural requirements, the architect is generally not qualified to perform detailed structural design or anlaysis.
