Introduction: I care about each & every student. I prepare lessons at my home after they tell me what they'd like to focus on. I have lots of material I've kept over the years to assist them. My top students have gone on to form their own bands. Some have posted online video clips which I've shown to current students to show them what can be accomplished from studying with me. Seeing results. I've had students range in age from 4 1/2 thru 60's. They've all made progress in what they set out to do drumming wise which is quite satisfying to me. They tell me my enthusiasm for teaching is contagious. Doing something new from week to week keeps their interest along with making their lessons enjoyable.

I didn't know what to expect being a first time thumbtack user but I couldn't be happier. Rob was great and my son is SUPER EXCITED to continue learning the drums. Great experience, and we intend to continue lessons.

What I like about Rob is that he helps me to learn new things I haven't even imagined. At first, I tried learning Jazz Drumming by myself using some books and some youtube tutorials, but it didn't help that much because I didn't know specifically where to look. Rob knows exactly what things to learn and he focuses on what I specifically wanna learn. For example, if one lesson I wanna focus on drum fills, he will work on that and show me different kinds of fills I never even thought of. Rob is a great teacher and I recommend him to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$35/60 minutes, $30/45 minutes, $25/30 minutes. These are standard rates that do not include travel. Travel fee depends on mileage (normally $5)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out what the student wants to accomplish musically. Show the student how to set up their drums making it comfortable for them. Discuss their playing/reading level, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Private drum instruction w/Joe Morello, 2/82 - 5/83 & Sonny Igoe, 7/77 - 9/80. Completed Drummer's Collective Fusion Workshop, 4/82 - 7/82. Attended Ramapo College Jazz Workshop, 7/79.
