I went to Health and Harmony for a 1 hour swedish massage to relax and I couldn't be more pleased. Elaine has a nice facility near Phillipsburg. She was accomodating to my requests as I have a very bad back and shoulder. The pressure was just right and it worked perfectly. She was very nice to boot which made it all the better. I would definitely recommend Elaine and I plan to return soon for another appointment.

My husband and I moved to the area about a year ago. During the move we were in need of a massage therapist, and we found Elaine. We made one appointment, and we have been going to her ever since. My husband needs a deep tissue massage, and I need to "de-stress". Elaine has been wonderful for both of us. I strongly recommend her.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I have attended continuing education classes on the subjects of Manual Lymphatic technique, Orthopedic Massage techniques, Active isolated stretching technique and hot stone massage.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Massage therapy is a second career for me. My first career was working as a Human resources manager for a small company. After taking some time off to raise my children I decided to reinvent myself and go to massage school because massage was something that always interested me. Holistic and natural healing has always been something that I practice so becoming a massage therapist felt like a natural fit for me.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Selecting a massage therapist is a very personal thing. There are many talented and caring massage therapists to choose from all with different levels of experience and training. When a customer is choosing a massage therapist it is important for them to choose someone whose experience and training is best suited for their individual needs.
