Introduction: I am a certified notary signing agent who does house closings and refinances. I travel within Somerset County, NJ and parts of Hunterdon County, NJ. I work for a number of companies. I will go out on weekends, no small children or anything, or evenings. I have been a NJ notary for 20 years and a signing agent for about eight years. I enjoy my work and hope the housing business picks up soon. I just took down my website after it being up since 2007. My jobs come from agencies and people using Google or the National Notary Association if they are looking for a signing agent. I am a member of both. I do not do e-docs. Too much hassle for the money.

What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of job that I do is to complete a home loan closing or re-financing. Many people use the internet to aquire a loan, ( the company might be in another state) so the company looks for a certified signing agent to complete the transaction.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The only advise that I can offer is to make sure that the Notary is commissioned in the state where you live. Have current picture identifiecation ready. Make sure that your loan officer is going to be available at the time of the signing, your Notary agent cannot give legal advice. Look over the documents for wrong names or any other misinformation on the paperwork.
