FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Wedding Photo Packages. In general I usually do around 700-1500 photos of the entire day, editing and the album for around $2000-$2500. That includes photos of the ladies getting ready before the ceremony, the entire ceremony, the formal posed shots, the entrance & special dances at the reception, candid photos throughout the reception, cutting the cake, garter & bouquet toss. In the event that you may not want a book or you were just looking for a scaled down package I can give you prices for just the photography as well. Either situation would include all the photos on a flash drive for you to print at your discretion. The editing and book are where most of the cost lie. Without a book and for photographing all the same before mentioned events, I would supply a beautiful package of photos for between $800 to $1200. If you decided that you could live without photos of the ladies preparing before the ceremony I could set up a package that is on the lower end of that scale. With prep pictures the price would be closer to $1200 range. The exact price would hinge on the amount of time I would actually be there to do photos. Again, you would receive all of your photos on a flash drive and would be given the rights to print at your discretion or through my website. If you were interested in a book, but only wanted specific events like the ceremony, posed photos and special moments at the reception we can work together to perfect your package and pricing. Let me know what you have in mind and what date you are planning your special event. Just to give you an idea of what you would get, I've included some details. After the wedding I will edit the photos and give you online proofs to choose for the album or you can just choose enlargements and prints. If you decide to go for the entire package with me creating your wedding album, you would choose around 100 photos, which I will then further edit if need be (Teeth Whitening, some wrinkle reduction, etc…) After you've chosen the photos, I'll place them in the album for layout approval. Once you've settled on a final layout I will send to the printer. It will take a few weeks for the album to be completed after sending to the printer. The process time is determined based on the type of book, how much editing, and the amount of photos you want. My total cost is usually split into three equal payments. To secure your date I will need the first of three payments in advance. By the day of the event I will need the second payment. When you have approved the book for print I will require the last payment and a signed proof approval to be able to send to the printer. If you elect not to do a book my cost is then split into two equal payments. Again, the first would be required before the day of the wedding to secure your date and the second would be on or just before the day of your event. Most wedding photographers will retain the rights to your photos. This means that the studio only gives you the proofs and certain prints that you choose. They expect additional payment for any prints ordered through them and do not allow you to have printing done anywhere else. I DO NOT do that. I will give you the rights to all of your photos so that you may print as many copies of any of your photos at any size, as many times as you'd like, from my site or any other printer. You will receive digital copies of high resolution photos on a flash drive and a release form giving you permission to do whatever you want with those photos (a lot of stores will not reprint professional photos unless you have this release form). You can also opt. to have me print any copies or enlargements at an additional cost that is indicated in the buying options on my website when you view your proofs. The total price of any package would really depend on what you are looking for as far as purchasing a book, no book, photos of the preparation with girls, etc. I hope that answers any of your questions. Please check out my website to see samples of my photography and my graphic design. If you haven't done it already, I do Save the Dates, Invitations & Thank Yous also. Let me know your thoughts and thanks for thinking of me! I hope to be working with you in the future and congratulations on getting married! Jennifer Bazzanella

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jen Bazzanella has a vast array of work including both commercial and fine arts photography. As a child, she acquired a Pentax K1000 manual film camera that sparked a passion to illustrate narratives through photography. After years of taking still photos for her own enjoyment, Jennifer decided to pursue a career in motion pictures and enrolled at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her need to tell a story, whether it be through illustration, narration, photo or motion pictures was overpowering. She received a BFA in Film from the University of the Arts in 1996 and relocated to San Francisco, California. There she began working in visual display arts and retail merchandising for the famed Toy Store F.A.O. Schwarz (Featured in the Movie BIG and THE SMURFS). Approximately a year later Jennifer was offered a position as a technician in the video editing facilities of the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. By 1999 Jennifer had decided to relocate once again to Los Angeles to concentrate on the production side of film making. After freelancing in various positions she began work as a production assistant for Wirebreak Entertainment, a web based magazine style network. Along with producer Greg Tillman (Really Big Things, Extreme Loggers, & Dirty Jobs) Jennifer assisted on the daily news/comedy show entitled NewsBlast (hosted by comedian Maz Jobrani and Emmy Winning Host of the Clean House Franchise on Style Network, Trish Suhr). After leaving Wirebreak Jennifer, Producer Greg Tillman, and fellow film maker Rogelio Gonzalez produced a spotlight piece for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce that featured Robert E. Petersen, Founder and Owner of Hot Rod Magazine and the Petersen Auto Museum. Again life drew Jennifer to make a move back to the East coast to work as a Camera Assistant Camera on the set of a Feature length film shot in Toms River, New Jersey. Jennifer then settled back in New Jersey as a technician, video producer and editor for Burlington County College. She continued working as Video technician, producer, stage manager, and video conferencing technician and was later recognized with a citation by the Camden County Board of Freeholders for outstanding work on training videos for the county’s Emergency Management Services. In 2004 Jennifer became Program Director at TelVue Virtual Television Network. While at TelVue, Jennifer received two Ovation awards for videos produced for the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisers and received Recognition from the Philadelphia chapter of the Susan G. Komen foundation. In 2008 Jennifer again returned to Freelancing. Since that time she has worked on commercial projects for Corrado Construction, Tom Baz (Musician), Jimmy Heffernan (Musician & Producer), Fastlane Biker Magazine, Full Throttle Magazine, Easy Rider Magazine, Paul Evans Pedersen Jr (Musician), Calling All Creatures Animal Hospital and David’s Bridal. She continues working with photography and videography on a daily basis to convey a story through each project.
