FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price I give is for the best bang for your buck window which is paid by customer direct to distributor. Paid in full direct to distributor. Receipt is to homeowner. Windows are ordered Wednesdays at noon and delivered the following Friday. Removal of existing. Proper Installation of new. If I arrive to find a misinformed homeowner who has been misled and there is a way to service the windows we discuss that option. For example: basic home in South jersey- window approx 28w X 58h... Double hung... $130 to buy ... Ordered, delivered, room prepped, trim removed, window removed, back seal, install, caulk interior and exterior, trim reinstall, window taken away and loaded, clean, vacuum -$100.... If the window is not operating properly we can take apart clean, replace operating parts, window works better than before and you get free window wash inside and out, frame, sash, glass- $50
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly.. While there aren't courses at colleges or trade schools I read a lot... My passion is in designing better products .. Someday I will be offering these products
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was offered a job doing commercial windows when I finished my time in USMC... I still work full time installing commercial windows from DC to NYC and in Philly... Over time friends and family have asked for help and after seeing the prices I felt I needed to save them from being taken advantage of... Educating people on the product and not trying to sell extra unnecessary options
