- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I design a custom sound and lighting package for every client based on their personal needs and event requirements. The venue size and number of guests determine the sound system necessary. The mood you want to set (club type environment vs basic room accent lighting) determines the lighting setup. Some clients desire additional services, such as flat screen TVs for video/slide shows, ambient visuals, and our dance floor cams which show you and your guests on our screens. Once the sound and lighting package is created, I charge a flat fee for my performance time (no charge for setup or breakdown, only playing time).

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure to meet in person with your event DJ and establish a relationship. Make sure they truly understand your taste in music and your vision for your event. Face to face communication STILL is the key even in 2014!
