We hired Carroll Construction to build a rear deck (32X17 with 2 sets of stairs) attached to my house. Mike (owner) and his crew are professionals who demonstrated great craftsmanship, tended to the details and displayed friendly/courteous manners at all times. The quality of their work is excellent and the cost was minimal. Mike carried out the contractual terms to the best he could and took full charge of the project from the permit to the final approval including design, paperwork, planning, materials, and schedule. After all, he wants to make sure his customers are happy. The ways in which Mike and his crew handled the project and treated the customers were outstanding.
We would highly recommend Mike Carroll without reservation. We have only experiences with him to have our deck built, but are planning to hire him for a finished basement.
By the way, we suggest to those who made negative comments about Mike Carroll (see below) that their complaints should be more specific about the job performed. We found it very strange that their harsh comments dont even include the description of the disapproving work. We also like to mention that we do not have any personal or business relationships with Mike or his company other than the recent deck project.

I had a terrible experience with him. He lies. Do NOT give him money up front. He does very low quality work. Buyer Beware!

I disgree with the statement from Jeff. My experience with Carroll Construction was quite the opposity. Mr. Carroll's work was done in a timely manner with superior professionalism. His high quality work together with his vast knowledge of all areas of construction assisted in a very pleasurable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Carroll to all my family and friends for all their remodeling and construction needs...

We had a terrible experience with Mike Carroll. He said what we wanted to hear to get the job and then took our deposit. From then on he was totally unprofessional, unreliable and untrustworthy. In hindsight, we should have fired him after the first week. Buyer Beware!! Do not use this contractor. It is months later and we are still repairing his shoddy work!

I also disagree with the negative review. Mike Carroll has done alot of work on my home, build an addition, beautiful deck and in process of remodeling my basement. The work is top notch, he is very trustworthy. I could only say, anyone that writes a negative review, there are two sides to the story.
