Introduction: I truly want to help the dog and their families. I charge a flat fee and stay as long as necessary to help the situation. I love dogs and I love training them and their families. I love dogs. I always have. Before I go into people's homes I pray that I can reach the dog and help him become a wonderful member of the family. I 've gone into homes where the family was ready to give up the dog and my training methods have salvaged the relationship.

I can’t recommend Sal enough! My boyfriend and I were struggling with our three year old dog’s behavior and didn’t know what to do next. We were distraught over possibly having to rehome our dog. Sal was truly an answer to our prayers. Sal showed us a bunch of techniques to help break our dog’s bad habits and keep his attention on us. He was very thorough in making sure we totally understood each skill and spent two hours playing through all the scenarios in which troubles usually arise with our dog. Since Sals visit we have been having much success and have seen major improvement in our dog’s behavior. Not to mention our dog is pretty weary of strangers and he absolutely loved Sal and was extremely calm in his presence. If you are looking for someone to help you train your dog who genuinely cares for animals and wants to help improve both owner and dogs overall happiness don’t hesitate to give Sal a call. My only regret is not calling him sooner!

We had a wonderful time learning from Sal. Being a first time pet owner we really got a good understanding of how to teach our little Simba. Sal was very patient in answering all of our questions. He also asked questions to cover some aspects that we forgot to bring up, which tells us how experienced he is with dogs. I am glad we chose Sal for our training session. We will practice what we learnt today and definitely look forward to meeting Sal in future as we grow along with our pet and need more advanced training and fun times with our pet. Thank you Sal! Simba says thank you too!

Sal was great with our rescue Beagle Nugget and just loves dogs! He was very patient and gave good advice in dealing with adult dog issues (house breaking, crate/pen training, etc).

Sal was very knowledgeable about diets, wellness, behaviors and overall training aspects. He was very responsive from the moment I inquired about training. Upon his arrival it took some time for our pups to warm up but he made them feel at ease with so the patience, and treats.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fixed fee of $100 for each two hour training session If the customer wants a package of six private lessons the total would be $500 as I would give one free lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I sit down at the table and talk about the dog and get to know the family. We discuss problems they are having and what they want to accomplish. I find out what the dogs eats, where he sleeps, what toys he has, etc. We then work on the problem areas first and then work on all six basic commands. I always teach Sit, Down, Look at Me, Stay, Recall from a Stay and Leave it if necessary. By the time I leave the pup is ready for a long nap.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA with a Major in Psychology. Much of my training method is based on Skinnerian psychological principles. I also have my Certification as a Dog Trainer since 2005.
