From the start he was super responsive, came out to size up the job: My old front-porch steps were sinking, Johnnathan saw that a new concrete slab was needed. He offered the option of keeping the old steps or building new ones, he drew up a detailed estimate with both options. I went with the slab and new steps. We ran into roadblocks: A lot of rainy weather and the town code inspector asking for things like extra bracing supports, hand-graspable rail, etc. Johnnathan adapted to this all, and wrote up the additional costs so that I was comfortable with what was going on. With all that, the job took longer than expected, but the final result was excellent. I'd definitely use Shaping Houses again. In fact, I had Johnnathan create some rough designs for a backyard deck and likely will start on those later this year."See more
