When we take on a new QuickBooks Online (QBO) customer, the process usually follows a structured flow. This helps ensure the books are accurate, the system fits the business, and everyone is clear on responsibilities. Here’s a typical step-by-step process: 🔹 1. Discovery & Consultation • Clarify goals: setup, cleanup, migration, or ongoing bookkeeping. • Agree on scope, timeline, and pricing. 🔹 2. Data Review & Diagnosis • Assess the chart of accounts, reconciliations, bank feeds, and reports. • Document the current state with a findings summary. 🔹 3. Proposal & Engagement • Provide a recommended action plan (setup, cleanup, integrations, ongoing support). • Outline deliverables, fees, and responsibilities. • Sign an engagement agreement. 🔹 4. Setup / Cleanup / Migration • Cleanup: Fix reconciliations, remove duplicates, categorize transactions, adjust balances. 🔹 5. Process & Workflow Design • Define how transactions will flow: • Who uploads receipts/invoices? • Establish monthly/quarterly close routines. 🔹 6.
