Introduction: I have been teaching for ten years and my service stands out as a result of my determination and patience to teach students not only how to play songs, but more importantly how to read music and understand both what they are playing mechanically and theoretically. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and grow as a musician, and witnessing their improvement on a weekly base is very rewarding and inspiring to me as a musician.

Emrah gave private lessons all yeat to my 6th grade daughter who signed up for band and had never touched a saxaphone before. He is very patient and worked with her from the ground up. Her band class at school had almost 40 kids so individual attention was nonexistent. Without Emrah, she would not have achieved what she did--first or second chair the entire year and a 99 average grade for the year. What was especially helpful was Emah's willingness to be flexible when needed. If we had to cancel a lesson due to illness or vacation, Emrah worked with us in a very collaborative way. I would absolutely recommend Emrah--and I someone with very high expectations when I am spending my hard earned money.

My family had the privilege of Emrah providing piano lessons to our son for 2 years. He was very professional, patient, and enthusiastic about teaching. We very quickly got a sense of how he loves to teach, not just as a side gig, but really enjoys seeing that magical moment when a student moves from playing a piece as a rote, motor exercise to when it becomes music and lives. When our son started lessons with Emrah, he was 11. He has high-functioning autism and could be a bit of a challenge to work with, but Emrah handled the challenges very well and adjusted the lessons to meet his needs. Our son looked forward to his piano time and enjoyed working with Emrah. He was always punctual and when circumstances delaying his arrival arose, he always contacted me very quickly to either arrange for a different date or time or to let me know he was running late; he was always very respectful of our time and schedule and that was much appreciated. We were so fortunate to have such a great teacher come to our house on Saturday afternoons to fill the house with music. It was a pleasure to work with him and I wish him every success now thatâs moving to New Jersey. Weâll certainly miss him very much! Best of luck, Emrah!

I've been taking lessons with Emrah for about a year and a half. I am a 39 year old first time piano player; I could play just a couple of very short, simple tunes when we started. Over the past year, I have improved greatly thanks to Emrah's depth of music knowledge, patience, and professionalism. Highly recommended!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No, it depends on the lessons location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, We discuss the student's musical goals. My process depends on the new student's level. A- If no experience, we start with learning the basic principals of the instrument including the positioning, instrument geography and reading music. B- If some experience, I will ask the student to play a song which he/she can play comfortably to asses student's level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been self-learning about Alexander Technique and I use it while I am teaching.
