Introduction: We are a dedicated music school. Our focus is guitar instruction, not retail. We are not the typical local music store with some self-appointed guitar teacher sitting in a back room. We are highly trained professionals who know our job and how to get our students to meet their full potential.
Many of our students know the difference in our school and their progress is our best advertisement. With our training and preparation, some students are now attending world-class music colleges and conservatories, working musicians on Broadway, and performing with local bands. We are proud of our results.

Whatever your level of experience, if you really want to learn how to play guitar or bass, The Guitar And Bass Academy Of Jackson is the only choice. Gifted player / Veteran instructor (and all-around cool guy) Aaron Leone is not only readily equipped with a wealth of skill / technical knowledge to impart (to a willing bass novice like me), he also has the rare and special intuitive talent of meeting you on your level , whatever be that level, and communicating/simplifying challenging musical concepts / techniques in ways that assure you'll soon find yourself amazed at the concrete, measurable development of your mental/manual coordination, knowledge of the instrument, retention and overall skill. I'd taken bass lessons with a few different teachers in the area; all but one of them were technically good players; all of them fell abysmally short in ability to communicate the material in ways that could be readily absorbed. That ended the day I sat down and played a few strings with Aaron Leone... I can't say enough good things about this guy Aaron and what he's doing at the Jackson Guitar / Bass Academy, Doesn't matter how young (or old) you are, if you really want to learn to play , this is it!! Aaron is a great musician and an excellent instructor. He has the education, knowledge, talent, and proficiency in many musical styles that makes him stand out above the rest. What really sets him apart is his ability to adapt his music lessons to best fit the way you learn, rather than walk you through a standard one size fits all lesson plan that most instructors provide for their students. In one year of studying with Aaron my playing and knowledge of theory improved more than it had in the 4 years I spent working though music books and various online lessons. If you have goals in mind, Aaron will get you there as fast as possible and make the process enjoyable.

I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with Aaron Leone in college. His command and knowledge of the instrument are unparalleled.
