Alex did the flowers for my 50th birthday party in Greenwich Village, small party of about 50 people. She did an absolutely wonderful job and the flowers looked beautiful! She put in a lot of time planning, she created a beautiful Pinterest board just for me for the party. She was very thorough, thoughtful, and professional. She worked with the event planner at the venue to ensure that the flowers were delivered and set up perfectly well in advance of the party so that when we arrived everything looked beautiful! I can not over state how completely thrilled I was with the flowers she designed and how lovely she was to work with! Thanks Alex for helping make my birthday so special!!

Alex did an absolutely amazing job on my the flowers for my wedding. Not only did she understand my vision but she was able to make things even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She was responsive, punctual and extremely professional. The flowers and decor made my wedding reception look like a magical garden- exactly what I was dreaming of. Not only that, but she was able to help with some last minute changes and hiccups on our end- she saved the day and I am so thankful!

Alex is an absolutely fantastic florist – I can’t say enough just how good her work was for my wedding!!! (9/14/19)
I’ll be honest – in the planning stage I was all over the place. Couldn’t settle on colors, no knowledge about flowers, and felt like I could say what I didn’t want but couldn’t articulate what I actually wanted. Alex was extremely helpful and collaborative, she had good suggestions and was very pleasant to work with over the phone and on Pinterest. Leading up to the wedding I remember thinking ‘did I give her too many colors? Not enough description or too much? Weird requests?’, etc. Well she knocked it out of the park!!
On the day of the wedding Alex showed up with her assistant and she was so calm while we were all hectic, everything was super organized and in cute little boxes. Everyone in the bridal suite – including the photographers and makeup artists– saw the bouquets and thought they were gorgeous! I had a bad case of nerves while getting ready (I’m an introvert) and even when I was in full makeup and my wedding dress I was still feeling off. But when I put on the flower head piece she made for me, that’s when everything clicked, and I finally felt like a bride.
Alex really nailed the look my husband and I were aiming for – unique, a little wild, so lush + romantic, it was all magical and the flowers pulled everything together. She also did a really great job with the flower girl crowns, the arch decorations… even each boutonniere had its own little special touch. I remember in the down time before the ceremony at one point my maid of honor and myself were just staring at our bouquets and pointing out individual flowers and how beautiful they were all together.
We got so many compliments from the guests about the centerpieces and the other decorations (we still were getting comments even weeks after the wedding!) The centerpieces lasted very well from the party so the venue reused them for the morning after breakfast, and our guests were eager to take them home because they loved them so much. They weren't just pretty, they smelled great too! We kept some for ourselves of course ;)
My husband and I are so happy we found Alex. You may be skeptical about if you need flowers for your wedding but trust me you NEED Alex’s flowers! She is a real visionary and artist.

Working with Raised by Roses was a dream come true. From start to finish Alexandra took over every detail of my event and allowed me to sit back and enjoy the gorgeous creations she was putting together. She was easy to work with and really added a stunning element to the venue, party, etc. I highly recommend working with her and plan to use Raised by Roses for every event I have.

Alex is a flower fairy!
She was by far our absolute BEST vendor and ALL of my guests commented on the Pinterest worthy and stunning florals.
Her work is exquisite and far surpassed all expectations! She is passionate about florals and it not only shows in her beautiful work but due to her passion it is a joy to work with her. Throughout my wedding planning process I added things to my original flower order even up until a week before my event - super annoying of me, I know - RAISED BY ROSES however accepted with ease.
I have since recommended RAISED BY ROSES to be added to the recommended vendor list for my venue!
I plan to hire Alex and RAISED BY ROSES in the future for any and all events necessary of florals.
