I have been teaching piano and guitar professionally for 10 years to students of all ages, and I create a fun, engaging, and effective learning environment for my students!
In addition to teaching privately in Jersey City, I have also been a piano and guitar teacher at the Institute of Music for Children for the past eight years.
I have taught practically every genre of music from classical to rock, blues, folk, jazz, pop and literally everything in between.
I teach my students the music that they want to learn and create a learning path that will get them to their goals as soon as possible.

I take my six year old to Ian for guitar lessons and I've been really impressed. He's patient and takes the time to email me and involve me in my son's progress so I can make sure he's practicing correctly at home. I definitely recommend him.

I have been taking beginner classical guitar lessons with Ian for about 5 months and couldn't be happier. Ian is talented, patient, and kind. He has provided a great mix of scales/chords/exercises and real music, which has helped me stay engaged even while learning the basics. He has also bent over backward to accommodate my work schedule and just generally cares a lot about his students.

Hello everyone, Ian is an outstanding musician and has taught me everything I know. Ian has helped me grow as a guitarist and has also helped me get into the music program at my University.
