Introduction: About Us Founded in 2018 by Gustavo Couto, Electrical Engineer, PowerUp Electrical General Solutions has quickly established a reputation of excellence in the Electrical Industry throughout the New York Tri-State area; and extending its reach as far south as the Mason-Dixon Line. Born and raised in the capital city of southeastern Brazil’s Minas Gerais state, Couto has been an avid proponent for sustainable power since his adolescent years. Determined to further explore the renewable energy sector, Couto established his Company shortly after earning his master’s degree in electrical engineering. In 2021, Couto hired his cousin, Dennis, to help facilitate in the management of the business in addition to overseeing the Company’s bookkeeping. Not that long ago, Gustavo hired the first of their full-time IT, Electrical and General construction Experts; André, Jhonatan, Victor, and Danilo. These four initial hires are still with the Company today, each leading their own individual teams. To date, PowerUp EGS employs roughly 30+ full-time specialists, providing Office, Residential and Commercial services specific to Electrical Installations, Carpentry, Drywall Construction, Interior Painting, Tiling, and IT programming.
