Being a DJ is thrilling and I love being able to give you and your guests the best experience possible. I became a self-taught DJ in 2002 and have been in business by word-of-mouth ever since. Thumbtack is a new platform I decided to join in order to expand and connect with more clients in the Tri-State area. Since 2003 I have been involved with many events including weddings, graduations, sweet sixteens and corporate events that require something different each time. I focus on my client’s specific needs and give them the very best to keep their guests dancing throughout each event. I really enjoy playing all types of music including 50s/60s/70s/80s/90s/Pop2K/Rock/House/Reggae/Disco/HipHop and more! My specialty though is House music 😁 Reliability, professionalism and quality is what I do and as your DJ/Emcee I will do my best to make your event amazing and memorable! I can provide you with everything needed to make your event a success including speakers, lighting, music, microphones, dancing on clouds, photo booths and more! Upon request I have a full list of previous clients from all types of events that would love to tell you how great I was as their DJ and please take note I am not bilingual. Jason was a consummate professional from the start. His responsive and informative nature made the planning easy. He went above and beyond at my party, even helping guests figure out where to park. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing includes 2 top of the line EV monitors, one 18” subwoofer for larger rooms, either a black facade or white cloth facade that is back-lit, 2 wireless microphones, travel time, setup, breakdown and above all experience!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we discuss what type of event and the age group of the guests that will be there. Then I learn what type of music the client specifically likes to better suit their needs. Finally we decide on what type of lighting and effects will be desired in order to set the mood of the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a musician helped me learn the art form of DJn and after going to audio school in 1999 I was able to work in recording studios which in turn led me to becoming a music producer.
