FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm happy to answer specific questions. Generally, I bill monthly on an annualized tuition program. Tuition includes more than just the time spent with the student: it also includes prep time, research, continuing education, supplies, and business expenses.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually recommend a 4-lesson commitment up front, as it usually takes a few sessions for a new student to get comfortable with the process. By the end of 3 or 4 sessions we usually know whether we're working well together and whether to make an ongoing commitment. We usually do!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a MA in music with concentrations in vocal performance and pedagogy, as well as some continuing education in music theatre pedagogy. I have over 20 years of experience successfully developing voices of children and adults in both classical and music theatre. I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing as well as its New Jersey chapter.
