FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project has its own issues, no two are exactly the same, therefore, an on site inspection is needed to identify what they are. Only then can a fair estimate be given. What seems like a straight forward project typically has some tasks that a homeowner isn't aware of and pricing a job through a description online usually spells trouble for both the contractor and the homeowner. Identifying what the client is shopping for is key - is it value or price. I don't get involved with clients shopping strictly price. We add value for our clients and the expression "cheap is expensive" is very accurate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
listen, listen and listen again, then process that information and work out a cost effective plan with my client to give them the best possible outcome I can.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
art and design school-residential space planning training - decorative arts business owner/operator- private fine art study - gallery exhibitions. 20 years of work and collaboration with various contractors in the building industry - I'm always researching new ways to approach and improve renovation tasks and I continually work on my personal art related projects
