Hi! I’m Amanda, founder of SpaceLifts by Amanda. I create playful and sophisticated interiors that feel collected, layered, and anything but expected. From kitchens and baths to furnishings and full-home transformations, I bring a strong point of view to every project- balancing color, texture, art, and unexpected details to create spaces that feel distinctly yours.
Great interiors should be beautiful, but I they should also make you feel something. I guide clients from concept and space planning through sourcing, cabinetry, vendor coordination, and final styling- making the process as seamless as possible. Whether you’re renovating, building, or rethinking a room, let’s create something memorable.

Amanda is a personal contact of mine and I have always loved her style. I hired her to take my 80’s shore house guest room and make it a bit more modern/coastal! She made it so serene and calming. I had a limited budget for this and she worked within that for furniture pieces, etc. I really love the end result! She’s so talented and has a great eye for design. She’s also a sweet person and very hardworking.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Amanda on the redesign of my bathroom and several other interior spaces in my home. From the very beginning, Amanda demonstrated an exceptional eye for detail, a deep understanding of design aesthetics, and an ability to bring my vision to life in a way that exceeded my expectations.
The bathroom transformation was stunning—every element felt intentional, harmonious, and elevated. Beyond just creating a beautiful space, Amanda made the entire process seamless. She listened carefully to my preferences, offered thoughtful suggestions, sourced high-quality materials, and coordinated all the moving parts with professionalism and ease.

Amanda was so great to work with in designing my new condo! She met with me to thoroughly understand my needs and took the time to see the space with me and the finishes! Amanda’s attention to detail was impeccable and she gave me ton of ideas for wallpaper and different materials that I can use in each room. Amanda really helped me to create a space that I am excited to call home ❤️

I had the best experience working with Amanda while picking out tiles and slabs for my bathroom renovation. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and had such a great eye for design. She helped me navigate all the options and made the process so much less overwhelming. What started as a design consultation turned into a genuine friendship — she truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to make sure everything turns out beautifully. I can’t recommend her enough!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $175/hour for design.
(Usually my clients buy 5-10 hour blocks.) If you need over 8+ hours, my hourly drops to $150/hour.
I also can devise a flat fee for multiple rooms, whether it's design/build, furnishings or both. These depend on scope of work and square foot. This is usually if you want me to take the project from A to Z, concept to completion and styling. It can range from $500-$10k+ depending on depth of project.
For larger residential, commercial projects or new construction layouts I will charge by square foot, and that ranges from $6-12/square foot.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to have an initial phone consult to hear about the work desired and if we are a good fit for each other. This is more or less an intake phase to establish my client's lifestyle needs, budget, and practical goals. If it's a good fit, I usually follow that with a conceptual phase where I create what I've coined- a "Design Map" or mood board and/or initial space planning and visual direction.
If needed, I can refine the plans into 3D renderings (which I charge $250/each rendering for) and material specifications and technical plans for contractors.
If we are taking the project from A to Z, concept to completion, I can procure furniture and other furnishings and see the project to it's finality, adding styling as a final touch.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey and Textile studies from Parsons, The New School.
More importantly though is over 20+ years of professional design experience working for some of the best brands/companies out there: Kelly Wearstler, Michael Kors, Himatsingka America, Condé Nast, Artistic Tile.
