Introduction: “Nothing or no one will walk into our facility that I have not seen before with my 30+ years of experience" How our staff compares to other trainers in the industry Our 5 pillars of success through Sleep, Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Management and Exercise: Since starting KM Fitness in 2004, we have created a system that would encompass the 5 Pillars of Health and Fitness which are: Sleep, Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Management and Exercise. They are in the order of most importance. You can not function without Sleep, Water and Food, so they come first. Smoking like you are on fire, and drinking like you are trying to put it out is not proper stress management, but that is exactly how some people react to stress. Exercise not only has the ability to improve your weight, and get you stronger, but is also one of the most effective ways to lower physical, mental and spiritual stress, and lower inflammation in the body. We teach the 5 Pillars, because we believe that is the only way to get you your from where you are, to where you want to be. Mike Keenan has practiced in the field of Health and Fitness for over 30 years. As a high school and college athlete, Mike understood the importance of focusing on goals to accomplish dreams. As a Health Coach and Fitness Trainer, the optimal health and wellness, of each of our clients, is our number one priority. Our mission statement is simple, people first. Health coaching is a new concept to most, but in reality has been the center of our my practice for over 30 years. In my past vocation of physical therapy, i was an expert in rehabilitation. In health coaching, it is redemption. Most people ask, whats the difference? Rehabilitation is returning someone to their previous level of being. Redemption is creating someone new, elevating someone to a mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and relational being they never were before. How is it done, 5 simple steps, Sleep, Hydration, Nutrition, Stress Management and Exercise. It is through the coaching this is accomplished. Mike and his wife Susan have two college age children, and live in Brielle, New Jersey.

I was at a point where I was in good health and considered myself in decent shape however I was not satisfied. I knew I had never exercised (no pun intended) the willpower to reach what I felt was my personal potential. Good health yes, "lean and mean", not yet. It was a coincidence when I contacted Mike and Susan that they were beginning a 5 week program to "train" a group on smarter ways to exercise and healthy eating. I listened. It made sense. It was consistent with my goals. Here was my opportunity to focus on training and also to acquire knowledge on how best to synchronize my exercise and eating habits... and in a way that sounded so logical.Knowing myself, I knew that once I made an appointment I would keep it. I also knew that eating properly was even more important to a successful program than even the physical exercise. I had a decision to make; either take advantage of the extensive research that Mike and Sue have done or continue my same old routine. It was a no-brainer! The weeks flew by. I kept those appointments and to my pleasant surprise, I actually discovered that the diet was to my liking. Being one who loves food, that turned out to be a real plus.My conclusion; Put yourself in the hands of this duo and you will be setting a pattern for yourself that really works. Most who are successful in any venture typically have a mentor or a coach. Mike and Susan have helped me to be a winner and have shown keen personal interest in helping me be consistent moving forward. I took the first step and am not looking back! Larry S. Stanley

Mike and Susan Keenan have really put together a professional and educational system when it comes to personal training and fat loss nutrition. Mike is very knowledgeable of how to use the proper mechanics of exercise to get me into the best shape in the fastest time and Susan taught me how proper nutrition in the right combinations was key to losing fat and keeping it off (with an occasional reward meal from time to time!). They are a great team and I highly recommend their expertise to help you reach you fitness goals.

Working out with Mike and Sue at the private studios of KM Fitness is such a positive experience! Weight training with Mike is always challenging. He is a great motivator and seeing results keeps me coming back. Sue's knowledge of nutrition is so extensive. It is exciting to work with her as we address issues such as fat loss not weight loss, what to add to my diet to increase energy and stop cravings and how foods help us deal with the stress of everyday living. You will not be disappointed with Mike and Sue on your team!

I have been training with Mike and Susan for over 2 years and I am so happy with my workouts and results. I have trained with many personal trainers and their program is just so unique and effective. I am a chiropractor and I have a good knowledge about fitness and posture and I am confident in saying that you are truly in good hands with Mike and Susan when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and so much more. Thank you for all you do for me and my patients and your clients and your community!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We have all types of training packages to meet the needs of all our clients... we are currently offering a "Spring into Fitness" program which would be 10 one on one personal training sessions for $500 and for that price would would also offer a fitness evaluation to assess your current level of fitness and a one on one nutrition coaching session with a meal plan to designed to help you loose body fat.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

With all of our first time fitness clients we put them through a comprehensive physical fitness evaluation prior to training at no cost to them. This gives us the opportunity to determine their fitness level and design a program to fit their needs. It also allows us to track progress over the course of a training program
