Mr. Romano was my daughter's 7th grade math teacher. She began 7th grade having gotten poor grades in math the year prior. She was failing 7th grade math the 1st marking period. I met with Mr. Romano and he came up with solutions to help her to succeed. He consistently met with her and other students to work with them after hours. He contacted me and my husband consistently to keep us posted on her progress and to suggest options for her. He taught her mathematics concepts that I believe she had never fully grasped in earlier years. Working with Mr. Romano helps her to improve her grade in math so drastically, (From a 50 to a 89!!) that we decided to hire him to tutor her through the summer. Mr. Romano single-handedly changed how my daughter viewed herself, gave her the tools to success and was committed to her and the rest of his students! My daughter continues to do well in math and the skills she obtained while working with Mr. Romano have enabled this success! Vinnie Romano truly cares for his students and their understanding of math concepts and is devoted to teaching his students these concepts in a way that they can relate to by using real-life examples of how math comprehension is useful! I recommend him without hesitation!

I have known Mr. Romano for over eight years. He is a hard worker who has remained calm in any situation I have seen him in. His quiet, thoughtful demeanor makes his work with young people very natural. His patience and pleasant style makes people feel immediately comfortable; a trait particularly helpful when helping students tackle what they see as difficult material. He makes things seem easy.

Vinny has always been extremely polite , well mannered and pleasant. His willingness to assist in any task, and friendly demeanor makes him perfect for tutoring. Typically, we will talk on the phone and they will ask me questions about my experience. If that does well, we will work on the logistics for working together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Educational Technology. I am currently enrolled in a leadership program to become certified as an educational supervisor and administrator. I also participate in regular, education-focused professional development training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Initially, I went to school for business. However, after a few years of working in that field, I had a change or heart and decided that I wanted to be a teacher. Now, 10 years later, I am still teaching and enjoying it. This year, I was recognized as the teacher of the year in my school..
