I had Judy as my professor for college writting 1 at William Patterson University for my first semester there. Over the course of the semester she taught me not just how to argue my points better as a writer but she opened my brain up as a thinker. One of her first lessons, which stuck out to me most, was to recognize how different companies manipulate our way of thinking into getting more than we need as a consumer. This in turn led to me pondering how else I was being manipulated through how I gather information and seeing "truths" that I am told to see instead of finding the actual truth on my own. I felt privileged to be a part of her class and enjoyed every lesson she taught.

She was the best teacher I have had in my life, and that is not only in a educational perspective. She broadened my interpretation of things and taught me how to embrace the differences between my peers, myself, and even her own thoughts. She brought creativity and comedy to learning, while also knowing when to slap sense into us and catapolt us to success. Even when some thought that was impossible. The thought of success. Her intelligence surpasses most but her human nature is what deserves to be examined. She's passionate about what she does and is well knowledged about what she does and she makes exceptional efforts to prove how she is different and sensational and is truly a mermaid in an ocean full of sharks. She's unique. She's determined. She's welcoming. And she deserves everything she works for and more!

I had the privilege of being one of Judy's students in a high school honors English class. Judy consistently found ways to keep her students engaged and shed light on the literary topics we covered. Her perspectives and teaching style were thought provoking and encouraged my classmates and I to think outside of the box. Judy was always approachable and thoughtful, and left the impression of a dedicated educator.
