Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Working with an experienced travel professional will get you better deals than working alone. As a professional, I get all the latest news from all over the travel industry. We learn of unadvertised sales, and upcoming sales that will save you money, and help make you dream trip a reality. On a recent booking for two couples I saved each couple an average of $800. Take a moment to think about that when you are looking at different travel sites. What could you do with an extra $200. $300. $400 or more? That is something that a travel professional can do to help your vacation budget go farther, maybe add a couple extra days to your stay, our upgrade your hotel or cruise line stateroom.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. There are a lot of questions to ask, one of the biggest questions to ask is, do you have insurance? Our agency carries $1,000,000. in E&O insurance. Another question that you should ask is, do you offer Travel Interruption insurance? We always suggest a traveler get vacation protection insurance. Letís just say you are a few days away from your trip and something comes up with a family member becoming sick, or an injury. You are forced to cancel your trip at the last minute. If you didnít get vacation protection or travel insurance you would not get back any of your money from the tour provider, but with your vacation protection you would get most if not all of your money refunded by the insurance company.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Have a date range and destination in mind. It is also god to have a budget of some type in mind. If you are looking for an all inclusive resort with flights, don't expect to find a great property for $100 a night. Don't get me wrong there are properties with air for $100 a night, remember as with anything else you get what you pay for
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Love helping people find the ideal vacation.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. The job that I just finished working on was for a group of 15 friends. They wanted to take a driving tour of the central New York wine region. Working closely with my clients I secured quality reservation for 8 rooms. Being the trip is scheduled for early October finding a hotel with availability was a task. Using resources not available to a consumer, I located a hotel within 10 minutes of my clients originally requested area. I was also able to charter a private 6 hour limousine tour of the Finger Lakes wineries and breweries. All this for about $300 per person under my clients budget.
