I am a co-owner of a sports bar & restaurant being built near Stratford, CT. With a tight timeline for our launch date, my general contractor requested services from a professional to mount twenty large televisions around my restaurant. I am very meticulous when it comes to certain things and one thing I wanted was to have all the screens around the room line up exactly. Brian came highly recommended from others on thumbtack. He worked with my general contractor, cable technician and electrician for placement of all the wiring and electrical outlets. He mounted all twenty 60 flat screens the very same day. He then programmed them all and instructed my staff how to control them. I am not easy IMPRESSED, but Brians professionalism, insight and attention to detail impressed me. He is an outstanding contractor.
I had a really bad back up in by basement bathroom and of course began panicking. Jason contacted me and was at my house just a few hours later and got to work right away. From the second I met him outside, I felt like everything would be ok. From his calm demeanor, and knowledgeable questions I knew I was in the right hands. Jason worked for HOURS trying to unclog the persistent and stubborn clog but was only able to clear it up slightly all due to an idiot contractor I hired in the past. After more hours of working his butt off he kindly suggested I call a sewer specialist as this was too much for a plumber. I asked him how much I owed him and although I don't recall if he said "nothing" or half of the quoted, I gave him the full amount of his original quote because I KNOW he did his best. I will not be calling ANYONE else for future plumbing projects in my house
Jonathan did an amazing job installing two full motion TV wall mount along with two hidden cable set top box mounts. Great quality work, great service and great value.
James was knowledgeable and patient and spent a great deal of time figuring out the Byzantine cable connections in my home. He didn't waste a minute, found additional things to do while waiting for things that were rebooting and he really impressed me with his gadgets! Will definitely call on James again.
I just moved into a new home on Long Island and I needed 3 tv’s mounted asap before the Superbowl. I found JA assembly on thumbtack and after reading stellar reviews and recommendations I reached out. Jeff, the owner and sole worker at JA immediately responded to my questions and gave me his cellphone number. I was able to send pictures of the tvs and where I wanted to have them mounted and Jeff was very thorough in letting me know what was and wasn’t possible prior to even making an appointment. I booked JA assembly and he was able to make it out to me from queens in 3days(Friday before Superbowl). Jeff was on time and well prepared, and when I told him last minute I also needed a sound bar mounted, he called the local electronics store and then drove to pick up the parts needed for the mounting. Once Jeff got started it took about 3-4hrs to mount 3 tvs, 3 cable boxes,1 sound bar, and hide all the wiring within the wall. He was meticulous in his measurements and placement of the tv mounts and made sure everything was centered and just to my liking. He explained everything as he was doing it and was an overall pleasant conversationalist. I would highly recommend using JA Assembly for any future tv mounting. His professionalism and skill level are worth the money spent on his services. 5/5 performance.
Moe did a great job installing my flat screen tv. He helped me determine the best height for my tv for optimal viewing, installed the tv with no issue. He even re-installed my mantel, checking and double checking that it was secure and level. Despite not having the right cable box, he showed me how the tv worked, setup my remote and made sure I was ready to go when the new box arrived. He even called to check on it the next day. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend Moe highly.
Raymond was very professional and attentive. He contacted me immediately online and coordinated the site visit to install my ceiling fans + install Cat5 cables. The price he quoted was extremely fair. His team does quality work and is highly recommended.
Joseph arrived on time to run ethernet cable along long apartment. Meticulous concern for functionality and aesthetics! He tested everything before completion. It worked flawlessly. He then took time to carefully explain an unrelated issue I had asked him about. Excellent and highly professional work
Marcel did a great job, I was really impressed by the small touches such as bringing cable ties and socket covers, definitely recommend
I feel so grateful that we found Robert to install our ceiling fan! He looked into the fan we ordered online to confirm that it would work for us, came on short notice, very graciously handled all the surprises lying beneath the lighting fixture, and all for a very affordable price. He even built us a custom wooden ring to protect all the brittle electrical cables which were too fragile to maneuver! He'll be our first call for any future work!
Dexter is a nice guy, works hard, provides good value, and sticks with his pricing and dedications. In my situation, I needed two new outlets, both of which appeared to be close to existing power sources. It turns out one actually was, and Dexter efficiently installed a GHCI outlet there for safety and per code, because it's in the bathroom by water. The other one turned out to be near a switch that just controlling a light but had no power. After cutting several squares out of my drywall to explore where to get a line through the wall from my kitchen out to the desired location in living room, we discovered the wall was actually entirely made of very thick brick and was structural for the building. I was already stressed at the cut outs, because that meant added sheet rock patching and paint costs, and now it looked like no outlet was possible. I wanted to drill through the structural wall but Dexter advised it's not smart to do so without permits, as this then moved past normal electrical work in an apartment. He advised snaking the line down the wall and cut out a channel through the sheet rock, around the corner, and then where the box would go, cut out the sheet rock and chisel the brick beyond it to make enough room. I was thinking oh snit, this may turn into more wall damage and mess and who knows if I wind up with an outlet at the end. But Dexter is a good communicator of the various considerations and I figured cool, let's just go for it. He proceeded to spend a solid chunk of time hand carving the channel and snaking the metal wire cable from the existing box to the new living room one around the corner. It all came together as a workable solution. Meanwhile, I now have a mess of open holes and this channel to cover with sheet rock, plaster and then paint over it. But we talked about each step and Dexter made sure to say he doesn't do sheet rock, checking if my other contractor who was pulling my old radiator could handle it. Dexter meanwhile was cool to stick with our original price, knowing I now had to spend more to complete the project, and I think also understanding that he came late each day we did this project (one time was a directions NYC snafu). Once he arrived though, he was alway on top of the job, working hard, and he even swapped out a broken outlet part that we didn't originally include in the estimate. Also, for various reasons connected to the directions snafu, we wound up at Home Depot together and he was patient and accommodating, as it was a supply run more for another project at my place than the few electrical parts we had to purchase for his part. I recommend him if you're looking for someone to help you with your electrical projects.
Paul is one of the most professional and personable service providers in all of NYC. He was committed to delivering quality service. He asked appropriate questions to understand what were the expectations, provided options to execute the work, and went back to double check his work and to see if there was any improvements that could be made.
Pete was prompt and the antenna removal and cable relocation was performed without a problem. He also realized that the flashing at the chimney was bad which was shown via photo from his cell phone. I hired him to do this work next week.
Couldn't have asked for better installers. Howard was a pleasure to work with and his guys were very effective and very professional. All around a very personable experience. I will be using Howard and his crew for all of my future projects!
Stephen Morton and his crew from MorTech Computers came in to our largest location and wired, installed and configured 10 Enterprise level Wi-Fi access points in a single weekend. We had a very aggressive completion date on our WiFi project rollout and MorTech was able to run all the required Cat6 cables throughout our (2) 400 feet long hallways, and install and configure the (10) Wi-Fi access points and configured our Aruba Mobility Controller. All this was done professionally and in a quick manner and our new Wi-Fi network was up and running come Monday morning with three separate SSID's. MorTech Computers is a class act and we are bringing them on our primary IT consultants.
Hired Nick to mount a tv, install new outlets, and move cables wires/thermostat. He was easy to deal with and did exactly what we were looking for. Definitely recommend hiring him.
Mount 60 inch tv on brackets connect to cable, dvd and game and hide wires. They provided a few wires. Great price and very nice guys. Cleaned up. Would recommend and use again.
Vincent was punctual and consiencious. The job took a lot more time than he expected, because the cable break was buried in unknown place deep underneath the walls, but he did not take more money than promised, even though the commitment was on per hour basis. He did restore the power as was needed. The only negative was that he left me with three large holes in the wall to fill. I feel like he should have done it himself. The reason I didn't insist is that I thought I'd save some money because he charged hourly, but I feel that it should have been done as part of the job without additional fees.
I hired Joe and his team to install baseboard molding and I was under a time crunch. They sent me the insurance docs within an hour after he left my apartment for my coop board and assured me he would complete the work within two days. He kept his word and delivered on craftsmanship. The baseboard molding came out great. We also had him hide the cable lines behind the baseboard molding which was something his foreman recommended. What a great idea! Thanks for your help Joe!
LeeShawn was phenomenal. Not only did he locate a cable line that I had previously installed (16 years ago!), but never used, but he did a super job installing the articulating arm, hiding the cable box and putting up the TV. He's also a really nice guy--smart, articulate and all around nice fellow. It was a little expensive, but worth it, I think.
The Specialist came on time, and was able to accomplish my wiring project (Which consisted of wiring my router upstairs to my hub and computers downstairs.) Everything was quick and efficient!
