Introduction: Naomi Sestak was born into a musical home, developing her love of music early on, and listening to her father play the guitar and the piano, her father being a guitar teacher. She was 6 years old when she started to learn the piano. Later she went on to study in a special high school for music and the arts. Ms. Sestak graduated top of her class, and now holds both a Piano Performance degree and Music Education degree from the Conservatory of Music and the Arts (Liceul de Arta) in Targu Mures, Romania. She started teaching piano at a young age, organizing summer music camps, and concerts for young students. Besides teaching, she was also the pianist for several choirs and orchestras. She participated and won several competitions, and also performed showcase events with the Targu Mures State Philharmonic Orchestra. She participated in master classes, specializing in chamber music. She and her chamber group were well known, and were invited to many organizations, concerts, and special events to perform. Mrs. Sestak received special Awards and recognitions over several years. She has several CDs, DVDs and recordings with her concerts, choirs and her students.
Currently she enjoys teaching piano for all ages and levels, as well as performing at concerts or special events. Ms. Sestak is a member of the MTNA, and prepares students for the ABRSM and Yamaha exams. Mrs. Sestak customizes weekly lessons to fit each students needs, and desires to help them get the most out of each lesson. She teaches music theory, as well as piano techniques, music notation, interpretation, and practice strategies. Her goal is to help all of her students learn music in a fun encouraging ways to develop their own musical style. Although she specializes in classical music, she plays and teaches pop, jazz, religious, new age, contemporary, and other genres.
