Introduction: I love solving math problems and reading, and you can too. I believe that every student has the ability to learn. As a tutor, my job is to patiently work with you as you tackle challenging concepts. I break these into smaller learning objectives. I highlight your strengths to build confidence so you can work on and improve the areas that you struggle with. I use encouragement and humor to prevent you from burning out during our sessions. There is nothing better than helping a student discover their ability to learn.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are as follows: Math, Reading, Language Arts and Science are $45/hour SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT & Praxis are $60/hour I do offer discounted packages for clients purchasing 10 sessions at a time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Accounting from Kean University in Union, NJ. While in college, I also took extensive courses in mathematics, and tutored for the English Department of Middlesex County College. I am a member of The National Tutoring Association, and I received a certification from them as an Advance Level Professional Tutor for taking the required courses and meeting the requirements for this level.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in college, I worked as a tutor for my peers because I had great grades, and I was able to break concepts down for my classmates easily. After college, I worked in the business world, but something was missing. I remembered that I loved helping others to learn, so I started my tutoring company, The Patient Tutor in 2015. Everyday has been a pleasure since then. I have met so many wonderful and interesting people that needed academic help to accomplish their goals.
