I have had the pleasure of having Milissa's mango cheesecake and chocolate pecan pie. Both were delicious and met with rave reviews from friends and family. The high quality of both the ingredients of the deserts and the skill and passion of the chef were readily apparent. I highly recommend Milissa to those who appreciate true delicacies.

Milissa prepared several meals for us after we had our baby. She prepped and stored all the food, cleaned up after she was done, and left very clear instructions on how to warm up our food when we wanted it. The food was healthy and delicious, and the service was excellent! We appreciated the ease of having someone come over and take care of our meals in a hectic time.

Milissa catered my 30th birthday party and all anyone could talk about was how amazing the food was. Even my 11-year-old cousin couldn't stop talking about it! There was a wide range of amazing food, including ceviche, kabobs, bagna càuda, homemade plantain chips with guacamole, and a beautiful mango cheesecake to finish. Great experience!

First and foremost, Milissa is an outstanding cook! Wow! My family is still talking about those delicious meatballs and the gluten-free pastries! We hired Milissa to cook brunch and dinner for us for four days during our week at the beach in August 2016. She worked with us beforehand via email to determine the menu and was very attentive to the disparate needs of the group (one was gluten-free, several were vegan, some wanted meat, etc.) The number of people varied throughout the week, but Milissa handled these changes with ease. Her ability to go with the flow and be flexible was impressive. Example: it was a very hot week temperature-wise, and for the first two days our air-conditioning wasn't working. If it bothered Milissa, she didn't let it show. She was always upbeat and exuded a positive vibe. We made some menu changes mid-week, and she shifted gears very smoothly. Milissa also went the extra mile to come up with creative extra touches that she thought our family would enjoy - like a hibiscus tea and gluten-free chia pudding. The beach house we rented didn’t have the best quality kitchen equipment, but she didn’t let that stand in the way of preparing some absolutely delicious meals. She makes a beyond fantastic mango salsa that is to die for! Milissa was easy to talk to and it sometimes felt as though she was part of the family. She does talk to herself a little bit as she’s working in the kitchen, but she’s aware of it and we didn’t find it intrusive. Milissa very much wanted to do a good job for us and she did. And did I mention what a great cook she is? Seriously!

I have a standard service fee of $25.00/hr plus cost of ingredients. I offer a free consultation for an assessment and to create a menu plan and I offer a reduced rate for shopping for ingredients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free consultation to acquire an understanding of the needs and desires of the client as to best serve their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a culinary degree Chef AAS and am ServeSafe certified.
