Introduction: Photography serves as a powerful medium to include and emphasize similarities and facilitate bridges between the people that share my space in as well as outside my work environment. Through my images, I hope to contribute to this “human" need by nurturing the attitude of adventure and attenuating fear of the unknown. My images celebrate the numerous mundane and frequently overlooked gifts bestowed on all members of the human family; they are dedicated to the role models who recognize these gifts in themselves and in others. Through all camera lenses, the same level of order, vision and discovery possible with the lenses of the microscope, telescope as well the human eye and imagination can be shared. The nature and scope of what are seen, imagined and emphasized are to be chosen by the observer. In observing cityscapes and architecture I marvel at the technical ingenuity that blends differences in texture, colors and shapes effortlessly and harmoniously with pertinent residents and visitors; in event photography I celebrate inclusively and unconditionally with meaning and pride; in candid portraiture I get nurtured by the diversity of the human face – precious landmarks of God. I consider my subjects and the effortless rapport between us to be more important than clicking the camera’s shutter. I have visited and photographed several hundred sites and/or events in the USA, China and many African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Benin, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Guinee-Conakry, South Africa and Ethiopia. Hence, I consider myself qualified to facilitate intercultural bridges through photography assignments and/or interactive educational slide shows. I aspire to maintain the attitude of humility and joy of discovery in my interactions as I continue to communicate with the motto – Bridges Connect.
