Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a very visual person. All my life, I have always noticed little, tiny details that others often neglect. My photography reflects that. I provide a very solid mix of traditional & photojournalistic photography that is sure to satisfy a broad variety of tastes. I love the reactions I get from the bride when she receives the photo disks! They are so happy, and after all the hard work I've put into a wedding, their reactions remind me of why I've chosen this career to begin with. It is an honor & an absolute pleasure; and the rewards are never ending. The photos I provide will be viewed & cherished by generations that aren't even on this earth yet! When you think about it, it's pretty amazing. :)

We chose Jamie based on her awesome reviews and when we met in person we knew it was a great match. Jamie was professional and easy to talk to. I remember one of the first things she told us was that she was open to any ideas or poses we had in mind. She was not vain, and wouldn't be offended with our suggestions. I actually hired Jamie for my boudoir pictures the weekend before my wedding. She was so understanding (not to mention she made me feel so comfortable in some very awkward positions!) and gave the pictures to me days later so I had time to print them before the wedding. On our wedding day Jamie was clear and direct so that our day went smoothly and everyone knew what they had to do or where they had to be. She literally took my stress away by taking care of getting people where they needed to be in order to get all the shots I wanted with particular people. From the moment I saw her in action that morning I felt very relieved and also comforted knowing our wedding was in good hands. Jamie took interesting shots I would have never thought of (and I looked through hundreds of ideas on pinterest). Several of our guests commented on how great our photographer demonstrated the balance between getting that perfect shot without being too obvious or obtrusive. We researched many photographers before we chose Jamie. We found her to be honest, knowledgeable, flexible, and very reasonably priced. I emailed Jamie shortly after the wedding to tell her I missed her and needed another event so I could hire her again. She informed me she also does maternity photos:). I highly recommend using Jamie Bodo Photography. I wouldn't have changed one thing about my wedding day and I'm glad Jamie was there to capture every beautiful minute of it. Now I can't wait for my sister to get engaged...I've already saved her time and energy by finding Jamie!

Jamie was such a pleasure to work with! I got married the Saturday after Hurricane Sandy. Most people didn't have power nor gas. And like most people, Jamie didn't have electricity and her gas tank was teetering on empty, but she still made it out! Apart from the extra effort it took for her to make it to my wedding, she definitely kept us on our toes! She had idea after idea for different poses. After all the stress of having to switch venues 2 days before the wedding, and scrambling for a last-minute dj the night before, figuring out what kind of photos we wanted was pretty low on our priority list, but Jamie was prepared for it. She was prompt, reliable, and full of enthusiasm! I can't wait to see the photos she took of our special day. =]

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When interviewing a potential wedding photographer, ask them if they have backup equipment. Do they have more than one camera? Where do they keep their spare equipment? Do they have a backup flash? If not, how will they be able to continue shooting if it breaks? I once had a wedding were the mirror inside my camera came off during the ceremony. They had no idea anything went wrong, because I keep my backup camera attached to me at all times. I always think ahead & prepare for the worst.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Many people don't realize that the job of a wedding photographer only just begins on the wedding day. After that, there are several long & grueling hours that a photographer puts in to make every single photograph looks its very best. I'm very picky when it comes to my work. I don't move on until I feel it's done right.
