Introduction: Being a good or great student is hard work. I appreciate that and encourage students to devote the time and effort into their academic pursuits to reach their potenitial because it pays back in future success and happiness. I find joy as an educator in helping students scale the terrain of the academic cirriculum and see how it makes their cuirousity and confidence soar. I draw upon my formal education, being a parent, and a research scientist to be an effective and outstanding educator.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

An initial survey I conduct includes establishing goals of the tutoring agreement, a review of student's course curriculum and a pre-assessment. This informs the planning of the tutoring sessions and milestones for progress. The overarching goal is to build the student's confidence and competence for reaching his or hers fullness potential.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed chemistry teacher (NJ), an adjunct faculty instructor (Rowan College) and a research scientist. My academic degrees are a masters and PhD in food science and nutrition and environmental chemistry.
