- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was quite young I was always tinkering with electric and trying to make something do a task automatically. You may laugh at this but here goes. By using a washing machine timer( the thing you turn to start your washing machine.) I created the first very crude Automated Home. I bought the timer from a supply house and hooked it to my homes electric circuits for my lamp, my stereo, my magnetized drapes and it worked. I just pushed the knob in, the timer motor started to work and wash cycle turned on the light, the rinse cycle closed the drapes and the drain cycle turned on the stereo. When I think about back, then I remember I used to scare some of my prospective dates away. Oh well. Thats when I was 17. Quite awhile ago That's how I decided to follow this type of career.
