FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with clients depending upon what their needs are. I'm very individual about my pricing. I want to assess their needs their expectations their goals and then I'll develop a flat fee for them if that's what makes sense, or I'll work on a Consulting hourly fee. Larger-scale projects I create, I'll do a design fee and then hourly fee typically. Just as every person is unique, every home is unique, and what they need is as such so my pricing follows.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm a lifestyle designer so a major component for me is understanding your lifestyle. whether it be an individual or a family. I want the home to look beautiful, feel amazing but be functional for your lifestyle as well. Most of my clients have kids, pets or both, so that plays a huge role in the way I'm going to design the home, the fabrics that are selected, etc After the initial meeting and going over the expectations and what their goals are the process unfolds pretty easily from there it's just a matter of communicating, setting up meetings, defining colors, getting plans done making sure we have the GC's on board, the rest just falls into place.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My tutelage was under an internationally-known architect and designer my first 5 years of doing interior design. We focused on historical remodels of George Washington Smith Estates in Montecito California. We had one the Sophia Award, along with getting published in other various home & architecture magaziness. I studied in Florence Italy at the school Leonardo da Vinci. I have become certified in all Adobe programs so I'm well-versed in design from the front end and the back end.
