Steven is awesome to work with, he has no problem telling you exactly what need to be done. We trusted him with making a lot of the decisions. He explained everything in detail. He also tried to save us money, too. He practically worked everyday including weekend from start to end. We communicated well throughout the whole construction. Most importantly the whole project was finished on time as promised before Christmas. That was the best Christmas gift to us. We renovated the kitchen, opened up a couple walls, re-did a full bathroom, and converted two bedrooms into a open master suite w/ a toilet room. We will definitely ask him for help when we remodel our basement, and other future projects. Highly recommended!!!!

Steve is fantastic to work with. We did a complete kitchen gutting and 1st floor bathroom, and changed the floor plan of the house. Steve was extremely well organized and planned out. Was able to coordinate well with multiple subcontractors and because of that our job came in on time (which mattered greatly because we did it during the dead of winter!). Went well out of his way to be accommodating to our needs (we were pretty involved throughout). Unlike so many other contractors, Steve laid out payment amounts and dates for the agreed to part of the work, and then we dealt with extra work as it came up. Just a total pleasure to deal with and someone we will use in all of our future home improvements.

Steve built us a laundry room and foyer space downstairs in our houme. Prior to the construction, I had no laundry room my washer and dryer were located in the garage. The project included demolition of existing walls and creating new ones and installing load-bearing structures. Two new closests were created and we also had new flooring installed. The job was started while we were away on vacation which was great. The original timeline Steve created for us projected the work to be done in about 8 weeks. The entire job was completed in about 9 weeks. We were very impressed by Steve's ability to stay on track and hold to this timeline. Construction in your home can be very disruptive to your life, this was the easiest minor disruption I have ever gone through thanks to Steve. He was always very well organized and continually updated myself or my husband on what was going on each day and any bumps he discovered along the way. Steve was ALWAYS on time and that made each day easier to plan around to continue our lives in a manner we were used to. What was concerning me when we embarked on this project was how long was I going to be without a W/D and would have to hall my laundry to a dreadful laundry mat. I'm sure many women, wives, Moms can relate to this. When it was all said and done, I was only without my washer for about 3-4 days. Steve manipulated his work so this could happen. It was apparent to me that the other people involved in the work ie, plumber, electrician, flooring, etc., all respected Steve and their history of working with him. They too came when they were scheduled to be here. Most importantly, I would thoroughly trust Steve Smith to do any other construction project in my home. He was efficient, reliable, and honest and his quality of work reflected that as well. Jen B. Wayne, NJ

When my wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen, we interviewed several contractors. We had estimates ranging from $6,000 to $40,000. Our job entailed the full demolition down to the structure, relocation of plumbing, our chimney stack, a window and a door among many other components. Steve was the only contractor of the many we interviewed who I felt entirely confident in. And after learning he is an Air Force veteran, it became clear why. He also raised several points and made many other thoughtful considerations that were quite obviously symptomatic of his years of experience and knowledge. Steve is a professional contractor and ran our project accordingly. We had some minor disagreements during the course of our project, but this was somewhat due to my unusual involvement in the project itself and some misunderstandings. Part of the reason I decided to engage Steve was because of his willingness to actually work with me. We worked on a few parts of this project together. Most days when I returned home from work, I would immediately go to work. Most contractors would discourage and even forbid this. Steve was quite patient and it was actually part of our agreement. The quality of work done on our kitchen was extremely high. His entire crew is very capable and experienced. His tile installer was able to cut an intricate marble and glass mosaic flawlessly. His cabinet installer, though a late arrival, was absolutely worth the wait. He was fantastic and our cabinets looked remarkable once installed. The granite supplier cut the granite beautifully. When all was said and done, we ended up with a kitchen we absolutely love and will enjoy for many years to come. That’s all thanks to the incredible work Steve and his crew did. I would absolutely recommend him and have no regrets. If I had to choose one of Steve’s many great qualities as his best, I would say his responsiveness is it. Steve always answered our questions right away and was available 95% of the time.
