Interior Design, Organization or Consultation appointments will resume in April 2022. Thanks so much!*** Packing/Unpacking, Organization and Interior Design. These three services have the same things in common: Space, Time and Stress. When preparing to relocate to a new space (residential or commercial), one of two things are happening: you're moving to a bigger place or you're moving to a smaller place. Regardless of the change in square footage, having a plan for how to make that transition smoothly and how this new space will serve you is necessary, no, imperative! The moving process is stressful. There's no avoiding it. However, if you proactively purge and pack, it's guaranteed that the dreadful unpacking process....won't be as dreadful. With everything in its place and meticulously labelled, the settling process can speed up and your energy spent on better things, like making the new place yours. New spaces mean new beginnings and an upcoming move is a great opportunity to address any organizational setbacks and/or clutter issues that have been bothering you for a while. This is similar to the idea of bringing in better energy to a new space and leaving old, not so helpful habits and patterns behind. My PURGE & PACK method allows your to address those organizational issues while preparing for relocation. This can range from personal items, paperwork, filing systems, or even figuring out habits that work better with how you move through your day and space. These interventions will be applied in your new space through the use of visual aids and/or innovative storage solutions that fit your lifestyle.. These new habits will overlap into, you guessed it, the DESIGN of the INTERIOR of your new space. Interior Design is about the experience a space can impart on its users. Honestly, it's a subject matter that is broader than its assumed definition. It doesn't always have to be about that new purchase or that open concept idea. It can also simply be about the flow of the space: How can we improve it? How can we refresh it? Give it the life we desire? How can I lower my stress levels? I have had the opportunity design with studios that worked with a wide variety of clientele. Clients with smaller budgets usually had only a few thousand dollars per room, while the clients with larger budgets wanted and were able to have luxurious spaces created. Regardless of any budget, it is a priority for me to create something that will be functional, aesthetically pleasing and hopefully, inspiring to my client for years to come. In addition, I possess many years of administrative experience and once had the opportunity to spearhead a major systems redesign of the filling and records system in my office (at the time) as well as the Archives shared between Security, Payroll and HR. I have helped friends address spatial and organizational issues over the years and am always looking for the solution that improves flow and function in a space.
