FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I keep up with trending blogs and have a few heros I try to follow regularly. I also have an account at Lynda.com, where I try to pick out subjects I'm interested in every day and see what I can learn. I also have recently applied to grad school in the hopes of continuing my formal education.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'm a computer geek at heart, and digital design has become my creative outlet. Ever since I was a kid I've worked with graphic editing programs, mostly for fun. I love knowing that if there is an idea I have in my head, I can make it real through design. While studying advertising in college I found an outlet for this "hobby" and began applying the skills I had toward graphic design. Soon I was obsessed with the subject, studying and practicing design skills and finding new ways to apply them in my workflow.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked on flyers, brochures, restaurant menus, business cards, web layouts and more. The most common has certainly been creating advertisements for various publications.
