We tailor the lesson to the individual student observing how you learn via reading, listening, hands on, movement,etc. Having a simple desire to learn an instrument and willingness to practice will decide your personal progress. We have 25 years of working with children of all ages. we also have a background check that is current. Mad Hatter School of Music is currently offering online lessons of choice in the following instruments: piano, violin, guitar. Accepting all ages and aptitudes!
I enjoy the performances of my students succeeding at the recitals they participate in including Zoom.

My 11 year old son and I loved his first lesson! I feel that the learning pace is perfect for my son, and cannot wait to see how he improves on the accoustic guitar with lessons from her :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am now charging according to the difficulty of the instrument chosen to learn. Piano, 30 minute lesson will be $23.00 dollars per student. Guitar will be $25.00 for 30 minute lesson. Violin will be $32.00 for 30 minute lesson. If a student needs a more tailored lesson because of autism, sensory processing disorder, etc. the price is $35.00 per 30 minutes once a week.
If there are three or more children in one family I am willing to give a small discount of $5.00.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I give the student/family an orientation for 10 or 15 minutes in which we discuss their goals and the policies of the School. The very first homework assignment is to come up with a "Top Five" list of songs the student desires to learn. The fee for this is based on the length of lesson and the instrument chosen to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an AAS degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I spent a significant amount of time at El Camino College in their music department in the 1990's. I have been in business for 20 years giving lessons, recitals, and teaching. I am going to teachers' workshops through Suzuki Strings of Santa Fe, Robertson's and Sons, etc.
