Together, we will create a personalized ceremony full of romance; a ceremony that will help you to express your most heartfelt feelings on your very special day. It is the perfect beginning! I enjoy the privilege of uniting couples. I am an ordained non-denominational minister. I have performed the following: Traditional ceremonies, Christian ceremonies, Civil ceremonies, Interfaith ceremonies, Commitment and Same Sex ceremonies, Ceremonies involving children, and Ceremonies of vow renewals. The truly wonderful aspect about each ceremony is that there are no rules or limits on creativity, and each ceremony can be as unique as the couple it is intended for. I enjoy listening to each couple. I love interpreting their ideas, words, and feelings into something concrete, and assisting them to share their promises of love through ceremony with family and friends. I am a true romantic. I believe completely in marriage, joinings and commitments. As you co-create your unique ceremony design with Hitching Hearts, we will weave a tapestry that focuses on your love story as well as include possible readings, relevant rituals, music, and vows. You decide the tone that your ceremony will take lighthearted, spiritual, solemn, funny, or whatever you have imagined the perfect beginning to be. Kim with Hitching Hearts was so great to work with. She really took the time to get to know exactly what we wanted out of our ceremony and sent 5 options to choose from that she wrote custom for us. After picking just the right wording she delivered the ceremony with such grace and meaning. She even took the time to make us a booklet with our ceremony wording in it so we will always have that as a keepsake. She was so sweet that after the ceremony when my mom needed help to tie a bow on my sash she gladly jumped in :) In addition she took care of everything after the ceremony for us as well. She filed our paperwork and all we had to do was wait for our legal marriage license to come in the mail. She also gave me great pointers in how to go through the process of changing my last name. I highly recommend Hitching Hearts and can proudly say I was happy Kim was a part of our big day.

Kim from Hitching Hearts was an amazing choice as our officiant at our wedding. She was very easy to get a hold of, very professional, and was worth every penny. She was easy to get along with, listened to our ideas, and was very warm and kind. Our rehearsal was throw off by late members of our bridal party and she did not skip a beat. Our actual wedding ceremony had to be moved last minute due to weather, and she was still so organized, had a plan, and did not stress about it once. She even handed out all of our programs to our guests when the venue was unorganized and went to each family member and had them sign our keepsake marriage license as a fun souvenir. I cannot say enough good things about Kim. She was the best choice we made for our day out of all of the decision we had to make. She will make sure your wedding ceremony is exactly what you dreamed!

Kim officiated at our wedding in Mesilla this last June. Anyone who wants the experience of a lifetime, guided by a loving and very thoughtful officiant should definitely consider contacting Kim. Kim went out of her way to make sure the event was everything we could have asked for! For those interested in planning a ceremony with music, or looking for just the right flowers, or just about anything else connected to a wedding, there is a plethora of helpful vendors on her website, too One of the things we're especially glad we did was to have Kim get all our paperwork filed at the court house. She took everything in hand and had it all back to us about an hour after the ceremony was over. While not critical to the success of the ceremony in general, It just really allowed us to get on with the post-nuptial mimosas and generalized celebrations. So, to sum up, as we look back on that wonderful day, I don't think there is a single thing we would change. THANKS, KIM!!!

Perfect- Is exactly what our wedding day was on 8/5/14. Kim at The Hitching Heart played an instrumental part in making the entire day come together. I found The Hitching Heart on line and that is always somewhat of a gamble but Kim was extremely responsive, professional and gave my husband and I so many options to truly personalize the day. Kim was early to meet us at the destination which always settles a brides mind and promptly organized the wedding party. The ceremony was beautiful and Kims kind words and blessings will stay with us forever. I would 100% without any reservations recommend Kim at The Hitching Heart to preform your ceremony. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have 3 types of ceremony packages that I offer. The "DIY" Package and the "Let's Get It Done" Package (true elopement package) are priced the same at $200. These packages are created with information provided by the client and interpreted by Hitching Hearts into a beautiful ceremony. The "Sweetest" Package is the "bells and whistles" package. This package has no limits. What ever you dreamed of your ceremony, Hitching Hearts will make it happen. The price for this package is $250. Please note the following POSSIBLE add on fees: - nominal mileage fee if the destination is further than 75 miles - $100 rehearsal fee if one is requested - highly recommended - tolls or admission fees onto Islands or Resorts, etc - hotel accommodation if necessary - holiday rates can apply to certain dates, please see pricing guide
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained minister, and I have married literally hundreds of couples. I have been doing so since 2004. I am constantly attending continuing education to keep my skills honed and my ceremonies fresh. No two are ever the same; just as no two couples are ever the same. I have won multiple industry awards, magazine awards, and I have been recognized as a Top Wedding Officiant by multiple peer and client voting groups over the years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My best advice to couples looking for a quality Officiant is this..... your wedding day is all about you. You need, and deserve, a perfect beginning. Try to remember that your Officiant is the person who is going to help you to express your inner most feelings for each other. Talk to that person. Make sure they are a "fit". Make sure they are listening to you and what you want....you don't want to use someone who has their own agenda or is perhaps just "pulling the same 'ol tired ceremony out for each couple". Don't let price be the deciding factor when choosing an Officiant. If someone is not the cheapest choice, they are probably giving you much more in their efforts to make your ceremony very special. Finally, hire an Officiant that loves their job, one that believes in love and marriage in their own life as well as for others, one that can emmulate enthusiasm.....hire someone that can give you "a romantic ceremony for a perfect beginning!
