Introduction: I directed a dance company for 20 years, and have a long history in the visual arts. I enjoy creative collaboration, and am enthusiastic about making distinctive and original images with you! I love meeting new people, and being challenged by creative projects. Natural light is beautiful, and I enjoy working outside - but also can command strobes and modifiers for high fashion when wanted. Mostly, I just enjoy the creative energy that comes with making portraits, photographing events or fashion.

Audrey is a consummate professional. She took promotional photos for my modern dance concert. She is always well prepared, cheerful, creative, insightful, respectful, sensitive, punctual, efficient. She got so many great shots that it was hard to edit them down to the best ones. Her ideas are excellent and her willingness to collaborate is evident. Audrey brings her heart into her work and backs up that warmth with high level professionalism, focus and results ! I would recommend Audrey for any project, from personal portraits to commercial promo shots….Her vision and eye for detail and beauty are superb. She took great photographs and then applied her excellent photoshopping skills to make everything just right !

My business, Dunbar Stained Glass, was to be featured in the UKs' Daily Telegraph, for stained glass windows I created for George RR Martins (author of Game of Thrones) personal library, and I needed exacting professional pictures taken for publication. It was a difficult location with time constraints. I chose Audrey Derell Photography because of her reputation, and I couldn't be more pleased. Derell Designs has been photographing my collections at iwantsense.com She is extremely professional and every picture is usable. I have a hard time picking my favorite! She always seems to make the models comfortable and it really comes out in the images.

Audrey captured my authentic essence in a professionally guided series of portraits. Her comfortable presence elicited a natural and heart-centered expression in me and her coaching in personal presentation and choice of background and lighting enhanced the quality of the portraits. Audrey was also prompt in posting the photos for my review and making any photographic adjustments in those selected.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to respect the client's budget. I provide the same quality of work, but a smaller number of files for a modest budget, and more time and imagery for a larger budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We share ideas and images through email. I get to know their style, goals and budget for the shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education via the American Society of Media Photographers, Lynda.com, the Santa Fe Community College and various workshops during the year.
