After getting numerous estimates I chose Passionate Cooling to replace a system that was approaching the 20 yr. mark. Jason was very easy to work with and his AC team did an excellent install job in one day on my rental property. They cleaned up and tested out everything before leaving another satisfied customer. Thanks again for a job well done.

Details: Install a new A/C unit • Replace an existing A/C unit • Remove an old A/C unit • As recommended by the professional • I need the professional to purchase the unit • As recommended by the professional • Roof • 1,000 - 2,000 sq ft • One story • House

I needed someone to install a gas tankless water heater. I had the tank and what I thought were all the parts I needed. Jason gave me a great price for the installation plus the parts I didnt have. He showed up on time, did a fantastic job, and cleaned up behind himself. Its annoying when service folks leave a mess for me to clean up. Hes given me an estimate for another job, which is much lower than other estimates Ive gotten. He comes across as honest and sincere, and his work ethic has proven this to be true. Ill definitely recommend him to anyone looking for work in his field. Oh, he also installed a thermostat (that I had) at no extra charge (maybe he doesnt want that to get out!).

Jason and his team did an excellent job in installing our Daikin ductless unit in our garage. They were on time and worked like a well-oiled machine, they left the worksite clean and no trash was left behind. I would recommend Jason and his team.

I liked working w/ Jason and I believe you would too. Let me explain - I say work with since I asked Jason to help complete an installation that my son in law (an electrician) and I began a mini-split a/c system. I didnt feel comfortable finalizing the pressure testing/system evacuation and had trouble finding someone who would work with us. I found Jason through Angies List (or whatever the current name is) and he said hed be willing to come in and do this segment of the job. (While Jason explained that he does install mini-splits I had not heard of his company before.)He showed up on time, was thorough, had the latest equipment (per my internet education) was friendly and covered all the bases of not only this segment (ensuring there was no leaks in the system by pressure testing and then system evacuation and release of the refrigerant) but he stuck around and tested the system out with me. (Its alive! I pronounced.)We had verbally agreed upon a price and that is what was paid at the end. While we were waiting for the tests to finish, we talked about approaches other companies take with their customers. I had an experience with a DIFFERENT Las Vegas company. We replaced our units 10 years ago and have only had one significant component fail in 10 years. This OTHER company came in for a fall maintenance and while the tech said he had one concern about one of the 2 a/c units, they and the furnaces were in good shape. His supervisor came in, nit-picked on everything and made a grand prognostication that they would BOTH fail in a year and we should replace both the a/c, the furnaces AND the entire vent system in the house. (I should have asked for lottery numbers.) The fact that his tech had already said the units were in good shape made him look foolish. Needless to say, that when they responded to the Angies inquiry I didnt have them come and give an estimate.Jason agreed that high pressure tactics that try to scare you into buying things you dont need isnt the right way to grow your business. We talked about having to make a cost-effective analysis. If a unit can be repaired and their service life extended before another major cost will likely be incurred then fix the thing. If not, then time to look at alternatives and provide estimates. We agreed that you give the customer what he needs, not just what you want to sell. When I was in retail many years ago in college that is how I treated my customers and they appreciated it.As I said, I think youll like working with Jason and Passionate Cooling. I will look to Passionate Cooling as my new a/c company.BYW If you dont know what a mini-split is Google it highly efficient flexible systems that can provide cooling and heating to one or more rooms. They can augment your existing system or depending on your layout/size could act as a whole house a/c system even with our temperatures. Heating is electric so I would stick w/ a gas furnace for cost efficiency. OK thats my two cents.
