After using Thumbtack to look for contractors for my landscaping and concrete project I received 4 onsite quotes for estimates. Right away I could tell Joel at SJ Barcenas Construction was the one who I wanted to go with. He was professional and knowledgeable and I am so glad that I went with my gut decision. He did phenomenal work, helped me to decide on the best retaining wall to use, coordinated delivery of the products, and pouring of the concrete. Sometimes you just need ”boundaries”. Joel helped me get that. My neighbor doesn’t understand that so I needed to put something in place to give me a peace of mind. I had been getting many different quotes for this small project and finally I found someone that could work with my budget. I needed a retaining wall and extension of my driveway and Joel and his team got it done fast and efficiently. We had a small hiccup because of a not so nice neighbor but that didn’t stop them from getting the job done. I’m so happy with the final result and I have the peace of mind t I was hoping for. Joel is always responsive, respectful and kind. If I need any other general contract work he is the man I’ll be calling without a doubt. If you have been searching for a reliable contractor with unmatched bids he is your guy!!!
