- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process for an expert video editor like me, when working with a new customer typically involves the following steps: 1. Initial consultation: I will have an initial conversation with you to understand the purpose of the video, the target audience, the desired length and format, and any specific requirements or style preferences. 2. Review of footage: I will review the available footage to assess the quality and determine what will be required for the edit. If additional footage is needed, I will discuss this with you. 3. Quote and proposal: Based on the initial consultation and review of footage, I will provide a quote and a detailed proposal outlining the services to be provided, the timeline, and the cost of the project. 4. Pre-production: If you accept the proposal, I will begin the pre-production phase, which may include scripting, storyboarding, and planning the edit. 5. Editing: I will then begin the edit, working to create a compelling story that meets your requirements and enhances the footage. 6. Review and revisions: I will provide a rough cut for you to review and will make revisions based on the customer's feedback. This process may repeat several times until you are satisfied with the final product. 7. Final delivery: I will then deliver the final video in the desired format and make any necessary tweaks or adjustments. Throughout the process, I will maintain open communication with you to ensure that the project is proceeding smoothly and to address any concerns or questions that may arise.
