Introduction
I am a working voice talent with 30+ years experience on both sides of the glass for advertising and broadcasting companies. Globally I'm recognized as the first ever speaking voice of Bowser in Nintendo's Super Mario Games. Nationally I've provided announcing, narration and commercial reads for clients including Mazda, UPS, Maytag, Alaska Airlines, Amazon, Nickelodeon, Miller Lite and more. My training and mentoring services go hand in hand with my audio production skills, producing audio and video demos for voiceover marketing. (While it's impossible to provide guarantees for an individuals success in the industry, a handful of past clients have happily reported they've booked jobs and even won contests based on their demos!) Initial 15 minutes consultations are free, coaching can be done hourly or in agreed upon weekly sessions via Zoom Conferencing or Skype. All sessions are recorded for your personal review later.

Scott Burns is an absolute gem. I wrote a voiceover artist who I grew up with, who essentially referred me to Scott. I didn't know who he was at the time, and wondered why I was being farmed out. But that was the best thing that happened to me. I wrote Scott an introductory email and asked for some input and direction. I was totally unprepared for the massive email that would come back, that was so incredibly robust with information, wisdom, advice, direction, clarity, and a massive amount of humor to boot. Scott is SO generous with his time and wisdom and experience...I am incredibly grateful to have him as a mentor and as a friend. He's sent me screenshots showing me which plugins to use, and their settings, he's recommend invaluable equipment to me, and he's peppered it all with a great sense of humor and encouragment the entire way through. I love this man. :-)

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I charge $125.00 per hour of individual coaching. For a package of 4 classes the cost is $450.00 Payment due in advance of session via PayPal.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I first request an initial free 15 minute phone conversation to hear your voice and determine where you'd be a best fit in the marketplace. We then determine a date and time to have our coaching session. Several days prior to the session I will send scripts/copy appropriate for your "brand." I'll ask that you familiarize yourself with the material but not to over-rehearse. During the session we'll work on performance techniques and best practices to provide professional quality audition submissions. The entire recording of the coaching session will then be sent to you for personal review and study.
